The Impact Club and FBLA are teaming up to host a School Supply Drive to support our Viking Family and the Children's Advocacy Support Center. Your participation will earn community service hours. See the flyer for more details!

We are thrilled to share that Kaitlyn Williams, a standout member of Lowndes High's Mock Trial team, has been selected as one of only 50 students statewide to attend the Georgia Bar Association's prestigious Law Academy. This competitive program offers high school students an immersive experience in trial advocacy, legal reasoning, and professional mentorship. Kaitlyn's achievement reflects not only her outstanding courtroom skills and academic excellence, but also the leadership, kindness, and determination she brings to our community. Kaitlyn's selection this year is the sixth consecutive LHS student chosen for Law Academy. We are so proud of her and can't wait to cheer her on as she takes this exciting next step in her journey!

In July, our LHS FCCLA chapter traveled to Orlando Florida to attend the National Leadership Conference. We took 10 students to this event, which is our largest group in several years. Students had the opportunity to go to sessions, attend workshops, attend a meeting with others from the state of Georgia, and meet FCCLA members from across the nation! Our State winning Parliamentary procedure team competed on the National Level at this conference. They placed 6th in the nation out of over 30 teams that competed. They also ranked GOLD in their competition. The team consisted of: Breyonna Denson, Jade Huynh, Abbea DeLoach, Rachel Huynh, Nia Brown, Kaylee Parker, and Abigail Register. We are so proud of these young ladies and all of their hard work in the competition this year.

Mrs. Nelson's Textile Science students are using the wet method to create felt which is the oldest known fabric. Students selected colors of wool roving, and used water and soap in a ziploc bag to accelerate the "matting" together of fibers into a piece of fabric.

This is how we start every day at LHS — with energy, positivity, and the voices of our amazing morning announcement crew! 🎙️📣 Thank you for keeping us informed and inspired each morning.

Mrs. Taylor’s Ceramics class enjoyed a demonstration on the potter’s wheel and artist talk from local artist Sarah Galeano! Sarah then provided Ceramics 2 & Ceramics 3 students with one-on-one instruction as several students got to try the wheel for the first time! These artists did a great job on the wheel!
