Open House for Face to Face Students - All Elementary Schools
Wednesday, August 12, 2020
Limit visitors to two per household in addition to elementary students. Wearing a mask is required and we ask that you practice social distancing. Any daily medications for students should be signed in by a parent or guardian to the school nurse clinic during Open House.
Grades Pre-K-5th
9:00-10:00 - Last Names A-G
10:30-11:30 - Last Names H-M
1:00-2:00 - Last Names N-S
2:30-3:30 - Last Names T-Z
Families with multiple last names will attend the time slot designated for the last name of the oldest elementary child.

Virtual Learning Open HouseOpen House for Virtual Elementary Students will be on August 13, 2020 from 1:00-4:00.

Parents and students will attend in two groups.

1:00-2:00 Last names A-M.
2:30-3:30 Last names N-Z.
*Parents of multiple students with different last names should attend based on the last name of the oldest elementary student.

Attendees will be required to wear face coverings. Families are encouraged to limit the number of people who attend to parents/guardians and the elementary virtual student only. Parents will report to their student's homeroom. Upon arrival, they will receive their student's Chromebook, review and sign the contract, receive log-in information, as well as a brief overview of how to log in and get to Google classroom. Teachers will also have other instructional material that has been approved to give to virtual students ready for them to retrieve at that time. Parents of virtual students do not need to attend the Open House for traditional students scheduled for August 12.

The Governor's Office of Student Achievement recognized HES in 2017-2018 in the following areas:

• Gold Award School For Greatest Gains
• 5 Star School Climate Rating
• 5 Star Financial Efficiency Rating


The Governor's Office of Student Achievement has awarded Hahira Elementary School as a winner in the 2016 Single Statewide Accountability System awards.

HES was given the Silver Award in the Greatest Gains category for exhibiting high growth in student achievement, meaning that HES's academic growth over the last three years has been in the top 5% of schools in the state.

HES is one of the 139 Greatest Gains schools in the state and one of only 37 schools to receive the 2016 Silver Award for Greatest Gains.

We look forward to the challenge in 2019 - 2020  to maintain this high standard of excellence.  We are committed to continue to provide the same commitment that brought our achievements and recognition over the years.
