Instructional Coach

I am beyond excited to begin the 2019-20 school year at Hahira Elementary!  This will be my third year as the Instructional Coach at this amazing school!

My educational training includes earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and obtaining  my endorsement to teach gifted and talented students. This year I will be completing a program to add a coaching endorsement to my certification.

My first seven years as a teacher were spent at Cox Elementary in Colquitt County, and I taught the next eight years at Moulton-Branch Elementary here in Lowndes County.  The remainder of my career has been at Hahira Elementary. My experience includes teaching all subjects in third grade, remedial reading and math classes in all grade levels, and gifted education.  However, I have spent the majority of my career teaching all subjects in fifth grade! In addition to classroom teaching, I also served as an educational consultant with Education Designs. During that time, I worked with a team of teachers in Pueblo, Colorado developing curriculum resources.

This wonderful school is where I hope to stay for the duration of my career; I could not ask for a better community in which to work and live!
