Instructional Coach

The 2022-2023 school year is my 17th year in education and my first year as the Instructional Coach at Hahira Elementary School. Prior to becoming the Instructional Coach, I taught for six years as a 5th grade ELA teacher at HES. I also have taught at Moulton-Branch Elementary and Dewar Elementary where I taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th and EIP (Early Intervention Program).

I have been very honored to have won Teacher of the Year twice in my career. I represented Hahira Elementary as the 21-22 Hahira Teacher of the Year and Dewar Elementary in the 2011-2012 school year. In 2011-2012 I also went on to be named Lowndes County's Teacher of the Year. Through these experiences, I have had many great opportunities to meet and learn from several leaders in education.
I have a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, my master's in Reading Education, and my specialist's in Teacher Leadership all from Valdosta State University.  I also have my endorsement to teach gifted and talented students.
I am very excited to be in this new position as Instructional Coach and now be able to work with every grade level at HES! HES is an amazing school!
